Jonathan Mawdsley: A Brief Time Line


* Began collecting insects in 1980.

* First recipient of the Coleopterists Society Youth Incentive Award in 1989.

* Worked for Department of Entomology, Museum of Comparative Zoology at Harvard University, 1990-1994.

* B.A. in Biology, Harvard University, 1994.

* Ph.D. in Insect Systematics, Cornell University, 2000.

* Smithsonian Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Department of Entomology, National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution, 2000-2001.

* Worked for National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, 2001-2006 (positions held, in sequence, included Conservation Intern, Project Coordinator, Manager of Project Administration, and Program Director).

* Currently work for The H. John Heinz III Center for Science, Economics, and Environment, as a Research Associate.

* Maintain a formal research affiliation with the Department of Entomology at the National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution.
